Built on a builder's standard.
More than 25 years in the trades and a Class B contractor's license, with one simple goal: make roofing or siding your home as easy as it should be.
The experience behind Tailwind
Twenty-five years of doing the work
Tailwind Roofing didn't start from a business plan. It started from 25 years of doing the work, two decades of it building and finishing exteriors across the Omaha area. That's a long time on roofs, around crews, and in front of homeowners, and it shapes how every job here gets run.
A Class B license covers commercial work up to four stories, so the standards are higher than most residential roofers carry. The insurance side is another place that depth shows: years of working with adjusters and documenting damage the right way means the process moves forward without the usual back-and-forth.
How we work
Clear from the first look to the last sweep
An honest look first
Every project starts with a straight read on what's actually going on with your roof. No manufactured urgency, no inflated scope. You get a clear picture of the condition, what needs to happen, what it costs, and when it'll be done. Then we follow through.
Systems, not shortcuts
We run our own systems for scheduling, communication, and project tracking, so nothing falls through the cracks. You always know where your project stands, and the crew always knows what they're working on. Most contractors run on text messages and memory.

Communities we serve around Omaha
Why Tailwind exists
The roofer you'd actually want
After two decades in the trades, what most homeowners want turns out to be simple. Someone who shows up on time, explains what's wrong without the jargon, and doesn't push them around. That shouldn't be hard to find, but it is.
Tailwind was built to be that option in Omaha. We serve Elkhorn, Papillion, Bellevue, and 26 communities around Omaha, plus nearby parts of Nebraska and Iowa.
What we do
The full exterior, one crew
Roof replacement
Full tear-off through cleanup with GAF, Owens Corning, and CertainTeed shingles, plus other options when the situation calls for it.
Insurance claims
Storm damage documented the way adjusters need it. Years of documenting storm damage means the process moves without the usual confusion.
Ventilation
Proper attic ventilation keeps shingles lasting longer and prevents ice dams. It's one of the most overlooked parts of a roof.
Siding & gutters
James Hardie siding and gutter work, often coordinated with the roof so you’re not living with crews on-site for weeks.
Questions about your roof?
