Atlas warrants StormMaster Shake against winds up to 150 mph and Pinnacle Pristine up to 130 mph, and both ratings apply to its standard 4-nail installation. Six nails per shingle are only required on very steep slopes and mansard roofs. Atlas credits its HP42 format for the rating. The shingle is 42 inches wide, with a 1.5-inch Sweet Spot nailing area and a double sealant line, which gives the crew a wider target for the nails and a more secure seal between courses. The wind coverage lasts 15 years and pays for replacement shingles.

Pinnacle Pristine is the everyday option.
Pinnacle Pristine is Atlas's standard architectural shingle. It is Class 3 rated, carries a 130 mph wind warranty on a standard 4-nail install, and has Scotchgard Protector built in to slow algae staining on shaded slopes. It fits homes where the budget stops short of Class 4 and the hail exposure does not justify the upgrade. We walk that trade-off with you during the assessment rather than defaulting to the more expensive shingle.
